Oil Platforms - The North Sea 4 colour risograph print World Leaders at last year’s COP26, including the British Prime Minister, gave stark warnings on accelerated global warming, citing our continued reliance on fossil fuels as the most significant cause. Despite big promises made, the UK government continued to invest, either directly or via tax breaks, £10 billion into further fossil fuel exploration and research (figures via the OECD).

On a broader view, the majority of energy policy in the UK is still skewed to unconditionally benefit fossil fuel projects, which given the current rate of global temperature rise is not good enough. There can be no future with fossil fuels.
